Public Speaking Tip - Proven Steps to Your Public Speaking Success!

So… You are standing there, up where everyone can see you (and judge you) and the whole room is waiting for your first words. For many people this is a nightmare coming true, but it does not have to be. Take a look at our tips that has been proven to work in the past, and I am sure you will feel much better.

- It is always a good idea to arrive earlier than your speaking to get to know the crowd and the room, get used to the various aids (microphones etc) so that you can be concentrated on your speech when you start.

- Always keep in mind that the audience are really not there to judge you, they don’t want you to fail. They want you to succeed and be fun and informative!

- Know your material well. It is very important that you know all the details of your speech really well. This will help you relax, and give a better speech. do some relaxing exercises and ease your tension.

- Before the actual speech, visualize your self … hear your loud and clear voice and give a tremendous speech. If you visualize your self making it, you will make it!

- While you are speaking keep visual contact with your audience, use eye contact with each member of your audience in turn, almost like you where talking to them, personally. Always remember that some people are nervous in the audience too, help them feel at ease!

- Consider giving handouts to your audience. it gives them something to remember and they get a feeling of getting something for free…
